PEER2GO Case Study

Introduction

We were tasked with developing a P2P exchange service PEER2GO with support for several fiat currencies, popular cryptocurrencies and payment systems.

Our team worked out the concept of a P2P exchange service, analyzing in detail the goals and expectations of the client, as a result of which we created a full-fledged terms of reference for the development of a P2P exchange service.

We changed the brand name and blurred out any references in the screenshots so as not to violate the NDA for our client.

Peculiarities

In the process of working with the client on the concept and terms of reference for the P2P exchange service, our team identified several important factors that determine both the technical implementation and the graphical interface of the exchange service. These are the following features:

• The ability to easily and quickly add new fiat currencies and payment methods through the administrative interface of the exchange. This is especially important in the process of product development and the growth of its audience.
• The presence of a simple interface for the selection of P2P exchange service, registration and user verification. It is often difficult for a user to understand a new interface for himself and the user will choose the P2P exchange service that will allow him to make an exchange faster and easier. P2P sites on large centralized exchanges often have an overloaded and complex interface that is difficult for a new user to understand.

• An ad selection system in a simple interface that provides a competitive environment for professional participants in the P2P exchange market, as well as offers the best price for the user.
• A special extended interface for professional participants in the P2P exchange market, which provides flexible and fast management of ads and deals.

• The presence of an extended statistics and accounting module in the administrative interface of the exchange service. Such a module will help the client:
  see which user requests find an exchange offer and which do not. Which ultimately allows you to expand the range of support for fiat currencies and payment systems in the best possible way.
  collect complete statistics on turnover in each of the currencies and payment methods. This allows the best way to manage commercial and marketing offers for professional participants in the P2P market.

Our team, together with the client, developed a technical task that takes into account all the features of the functionality, without which the client would not have received a full-fledged product.

Development

In addition to the terms of reference for the PEER2GO P2P exchange service, a corporate identity and layouts of the graphical interface of the exchange service were prepared. After that, our team started developing the PEER2GO P2P exchange service.

The first step was to deploy the backend (server part) and the frontend (graphical interface—client part) of the exchange service. Next, the backend was customized in accordance with the necessary functions:

1. A quick search system that provides the best offer for the client and competition for professional participants in the P2P market.
2. Easy addition of fiat currencies and payment methods in the administrative interface. Adding currencies and methods takes no more than 5 minutes, after which they appear in the GUI and are fully functional.
3. Additional functionality for flexible management of ads and deals for professional P2P market participants.
4. System of detailed statistics and accounting in the administrative interface of the exchange service.

After completion of the customization work, a fully working product was demonstrated to the client, based on the results of testing, our team made improvements according to the client’s suggestions. As a result, a P2P exchange service was obtained that most closely matches the terms of reference and the needs of the client. The development process of the P2P exchange service took two months.

At the final stage, an open working version of the PEER2GO P2P exchange service was launched. After the development was completed, the client received not only the finished product, but also comprehensive technical and user documentation for it, with the help of which the client can operate the P2P exchange service on his own.
